A funeral service should be as unique as the person it is for. As a civil funeral celebrant I will work with you to create a truly personal funeral service, which reflects the life and personality of the person who has died, and which is centred around their wishes and beliefs and those of their family.
About Me
I believe that every person is unique and the way others see them will be different depending on the relationship they have eg friends and work colleagues will see someone differently from their siblings, parents and children. When a loved one dies, is it therefore not the case that their funeral should reflect as many aspects of their personality as is possible?

As a qualified Civil Funeral Celebrant, and a member of the Institute of Civil Funerals, I hold the NOCN Level 3 Diploma in Funeral Celebrancy. I offer a high level of professionalism with empathy and understanding at what is a very difficult time. I will support you on your journey to saying “Goodbye” to your loved one in the most appropriate way you can.

The funerals which I prepare and deliver are written with the deceased and their loved ones at the centre. There is no set formula, each service or ceremony is individual, and has the wishes and beliefs of the deceased and their close family or friends at its heart.

I am located in Buckinghamshire and mainly cover Amersham, High Wycombe, Gerrards Cross, Beaconsfield and surrounding areas. However Online Services are not limited by geography.

Bespoke Service
You may wish there to be some religious content included eg Hymns, prayers and bible readings; or prefer the service to be completely non-religious with music, poetry and readings from non-religious sources; any combination is possible. Family and friends may wish to speak at the service, or they may wish to write a contribution which I will happily read for them if they prefer.

The funeral service may be a celebration of life or a more reflective occasion, there could be laughter as well as tears. Most importantly, it will be the chance to honour a life that has passed and portray the personality of the one who lived.

Working With You
Before I write the funeral service, I will always speak to you, either in person, on the phone, or via video chat to discuss what you would like included in the funeral service. I can help with choosing content if you are unsure. I will ask you lots about your loved one to enable me to personalise the service. I will send you a draft copy of the service for your approval in time for any changes to be made. After the funeral I will provide you with a copy of the full service, either printed or by e-mail, depending on your preference, for you to keep and share with others as you wish.

Coronavirus
The global coronavirus pandemic has changed so much for so many people. Funeral services are just one of the things affected by it. With regulations changing frequently, I keep abreast of current government advice and what is allowed at individual crematoria or burial grounds so that I can give you the most up to date advice.
As lockdown restrictions are easing, I will offer face to face meetings again, or alternatively, offer phone or video calls to discuss arrangements if this is your preference.
